First Stop, Bossier City Louisiana

As we were setting up Myrtle yesterday afternoon at the Barksdale AFB fam camp, we heard taps playing across the loud speaker, followed by our National Anthem. We both turned to the sound of the music and stood, hand over hearts until the last note. Not only because of duty, but because of respect for this great country. The roar of the jets along with the playing of reveille in the morning, and taps, and The Star Spangled Banner are the sounds of freedom. We always feel at home regardless of which base we may be visiting.
